The DIT Fashion Show was started in 2003 by four enthusiastic second year students as a way to get out of lectures! - Ciara O' Donovan, Andrea Byrne, Julie Sheehan and Lou Conlon brought the first DIT Fashion Show to the Excise Bar. From its beginnings in the Excise Bar, the show has grown from strength to strength and taken up permanent residency in Dublin's Vicar Street. Lou Conlon took up the transition from the Excise Bar to Vicar Street with fellow students Peter Lloyd, Kate Mc Donald, and Laura Daly. Since then, the DIT students have overseen the progression of the show into a nationally anticipated charity event, with an exciting high-energy national Student Design Award.
The show has been voted Best Event in DIT in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. In 2005 it was voted Best Event by a college nationwide at the annual BICS awards. With the best in breakdance and dance talent involved in the show, it is definitely a night not to be missed!
Since the start of the show we've had some amazing sponsors and this yearis no different with Vodafone on board as our title sponsor! Read more about our title sponsor here.
